First shots from the A-1

So I've got four rolls of film being developed by Penn Camera three from my AE-1 and one from the A-1. I shot a whole roll on sunday after I dropped them off, so I decided to get those developed but by CVS to see what the difference in quality will be considering Penn is about two times as expensive and takes four days longer. I'm sure Penn will be worth the extra coin but you never know and I'd like to be sure. Anyway, here you go my first developed shots from the A-1 and from Lotti and I's Earthday experience.

PAC DIV

I'm currently downloading this mixtape so I have no idea how good this is but if its of the quality of the Pac Div stuff I already have you shouldn't be disappointed. I don't know how long it's going to be availible but it should be for a day or two at least.

Pretty cool stuff right here. Love the first person perspective in a few of these. The underwater shot really makes me want to get an underwater housing for my cameras, any of them.

CANON A-1

Found another gem on Craigslist, picked it up yesterday. I was just gonna buy one A-1, 28mm lens and a powerwinder but I we were looking at all this guys camera equipment (tons of it) and trying to figure out the price for what I wanted. While doing that he just goes "oh hell how 'bout this two cameras, two powerwinders, the 28mm, macro 50mm and flash other there for oh, lets say a hundred" to which I responded with the quickness "DEAL." Oh and I got the hell out of there before he changed his mind, 'cause I was thinking at least $80 for what I had wanted initially. I'm developing my first roll tomorrow along with 3 from my AE-1 so you'll be seeing some film shots this week probably.

THE FOG ROLLS IN

It was really foggy last night, so I thought I should take advantage of the weather and go shoot. I Got some really good shots, wish I had my 10mm lens for some of the shots though (I let a buddy borrow it for a bit.) Next time though, hopefully sooner than later.

CHINATOWN

Ted and I went to Chinatown yesterday well, more like around Chinatown as its only like a block. I didn't get any decent pictures that would overtly explain where we were. I did get some good photos though. This is unrelated but I'm trying to decide if I have the time/money and so on to get some stuff together for a show this thursday. I guess I'll have to have that figured out by tomorrow morning and worst comes to worst I'll have some framed 20x30 prints laying around. Not a bad deal.

COFFEE TABLE SHIT PART: 2

Here's another book for you, Brandon Boyd's The Murks of the Sultry Abyss. Yeah, not only is he the frontman of Incubus my favorite band ever, he's also an awesome artist. The book has painting, pictures, poems and a ton of other stuff. Pretty solid pick up I've had it for a couple years now, it's his second book I still need to get his first.
